According to documents, Tish filed court papers in Tennessee on April 6 to divorce the "Old Town Road" singer. In the filing, Tish cites "irreconcilable differences" and notes that she and Billy Ray haven't lived together since February 2020.
It appears the couple did not have a prenuptial agreement, and Tish is asking the court to make an "equitable division and distribution" of the marital assets.
This isn't the first time the couple has initiated divorce proceedings. Billy Ray first filed for divorce in 2010 but withdrew his petition months later.
"I've dropped the divorce. I want to put my family back together," the country star told The View at the time. "Things are the best they've ever been."
By 2013, however, things had soured once more, and Tish filed for divorce that June, sharing at the time:
"This is a personal matter, and we are working to find a resolution that is in the best interest of our family. We ask that you respect our privacy at this time."
The pair later said that they were able to salvage their marriage through hard work and couples therapy.
Tish and Billy Ray tied the knot in 1993 in their living room in Franklin, Tennessee. The couple shares three adult children: Miley, Noah, and Braison. Tish also has two kids, Brandi and Trace, from her previous marriage to Baxter Neal Helson.
