At midnight Friday, The Weeknd released a remix of his chart topping single "Blinding Lights" with the Spanish singer-songwriter Rosalía.
The remix comes just four days after the one year anniversary of the single which has been deemed Spotify's top-streaming song of 2020 and Billboard's No.1 Record of the year. The Weeknd has also been making headlines recently for calling out the Grammys for not nominating him this year. He called the Grammys corrupt in a Tweet he posted right after the nominees were announced.
The Grammys remain corrupt. You owe me, my fans and the industry transparency...— The Weeknd (@The Weeknd) 1606264148
But despite being snubbed by the Grammys The Weeknd dropped this remix for his fans. Rosalía sings the beginning of the song completely in Spanish and harmonizes with The Weeknd throughout the track.
Listen to the song now on all streaming platforms.
