'Black Adam' Premiering 2022
The Rock has taken over New York City. In the coolest announcement ever, Black Adam blacked out the Times Square jumbo screens with the teaser trailer for the new DC film. The trailer featured a voiceover of Dwayne Johnson's character quoting,
"The hierarchy of power in the DC Universe is about to change."
The release date for the new film is now July 29 2022 with The Rock's Instagram caption reading,
"A disruptive and unstoppable global force of a message from the man in black himself ⬛️🌍⚡️ BLACK ADAM is coming July 29, 2022. The hierarchy of power in the DC Universe is about to change."
Teaser of the Announcement
Kahndaq's antihero took to his Instagram a day before the release announcement. The trailer describes the back story of Black Adam stating,
"Five thousand years ago, Kahndaq was a melting pot of cultures, wealth, power and magic. Yet most of us had nothing, except for the chains around our necks. Kahndaq needed a hero — instead they got me. I did what needed to be done and they imprisoned me for it. Now, five thousand years later, I'm free and I give you my word. No one will ever stop me again."
The Rock's caption with the trailer quoted,
"Word on the street is that Black Adam, himself is making an announcement today. Lets see what he has in store as the hierarchy of power in the DC Universe is about to change."
What We Know So Far
Dwayne Johnson will be joined alongside a star-studded cast of heroes for the upcoming DC flick. The Justice Society of America consists of Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Fate, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, and Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone.
Black Adam comes to theaters July 29 2022.
