‘The Office’ Is Moving To Peacock

The Office is leaving Netflix and heading to NBC's own streaming service.

The end of the year may be sad for fans of The Office as the show leaves Netflix, but it's not all bad news.

The Office is a hit NBC comedy that ran from 2005 to 2013. It's been available to watch on Netflix for years, but it will finally be leaving at the end of 2020, moving, instead, to NBC's streaming service. Come January 1st, 2021, The Office will be available on Peacock.

In 2019, NBC fought to get the streaming rights to The Office back. Creator, Greg Daniels, explained:

Having 'The Office' back in the NBC family opens up access to a lot of extra content that we originally shot.

The first two seasons of the series will be available for free with ads on Peacock, but for seasons three through nine, fans of the show will need to pay for a subscription. Luckily, though, a Peacock subscription will also get fans new, exclusive content. Peacock is releasing extended cut "Superfan Episodes" that will include deleted scenes and never-before-seen footage.

Peacock Premium is $4.99/month and has ads. Peacock Premium Plus is $9.99/month and doesn't have ads.

Some of the other bonus content will include holiday specials, fan-favorite cameos, behind-the-scenes footage, bloopers, interviews, playlists of pranks and Michael Scott wisdom, and a 24/7 channel of Office Zen ambient noise dedicated to the sounds of The Office.
