Holiday Recap

Let's rewind to all the best shows that came out of this year!

As the end of this year approaches, it's time to look back at everything we binged over the past few months. (And if you haven't seen these yet, get to it!)

Famous for his comedic approach to rapping, David Burd's hit show Dave took the world by storm this past year. Loosely based around Dave's (also known as Lil Dicky) life, the show centers around the ways he got to where he is today. It is full of comedy and shows just how much can happen when someone truly believes in themselves. Dave has also recently been renewed for a second season! It is one of 2020s must-watch shows!

'Never Have I Ever'

Never Have I Ever centers around the life of Devi Vishwakumar (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan), as she navigates her sophomore year of high school along with her love life. It is a guaranteed feel-good show about growing up.

'Love is Blind'

Who could forget Love is Blind ? As everyone nestled into staying inside earlier this year, this hit reality show topped Netflix charts. Love is Blind focuses in on a group of singles trying to find their perfect match. The catch? They can't meet face to face, as a way to strengthen their emotion connection prior to their physical one.

'Outer Banks'

The Netflix original show also took the world by storm this past year! Outer Banks revolves around a group of teenagers embarking on a hunt for treasure as they try to link information to John B.'s (Chase Stokes) father's death.

'Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness'

Netflix's Tiger King was a docuseries to remember. It focuses on the lives of Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin, as well as animal activism, danger, and even a possible murder charge.

'Normal People'

Normal People, based on the 2018 novel by Sally Rooney, follows the lives of Marianne and Connell, as they navigate their love story and find that the more they grow apart, the more they continue to come back together.

'Emily in Paris'

Emily in Paris, another Netflix original, revolves around Emily Cooper (Lily Collins), a Chicago marketing executive that has been relocated to Paris. The series shows Cooper's adjustment to Paris, as well as all the adventures that come along with it.

Fans of the Broadway musical Hamilton were given the chance to watch it in its entirety through Disney+ this year! The musical tells viewers the story of Alexander Hamilton's life through song and rap.
