'Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer'
This docu series was just released on Netflix, and it's on everyone's mind right now. The story of the hunt for Richard Ramirez, also known as the Night Stalker, was deep in the minds of every Los Angeles resident for almost a year in 1985, terrorizing the city by night. I actually haven't seen it yet, but with Netflix's docuseries track record, the rave reviews, and the camera work in this trailer, I'm having a hard time even fathoming how I could be disappointed.
'Don't F**K With Cats: Hunting an Internet Killer'
Don't F*** With Cats is the story of a Facebook group formed after a video emerged on Youtube of a man suffocating a cat. A main rule of the internet is: don't f*** with cats, hence the title.
This Facebook group managed to not only track down the identity of this man, but the years they spent compiling evidence of his identity is what lead to the capture of Luca Magnotta after his attempted bombing of Canada's parliament, and his murders before that. Their story is a true story of human will and what amazing people are capable of.
'McMillions'
Streaming now on HBO, McMillions is the story of two FBI agents who managed to uncover a massive conspiracy that had been hidden from everyone, including corporate at McDonalds. The McDonalds monopoly game was fixed. For years. One man was pulling the strings, giving friends and associates almost every single million dollar win.
His ability to do this right under the nose of so much corporate red tape is almost as incredible as it was that he was even caught.
'Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez'
The Mind of Aaron Hernandez tells the well known story of Patriots superstar tight end Aaron Hernandez's fall from grace. From superstar to convicted murderer. A man adored by millions as a happy, charitable man, loving husband and father, turned out to be a cold blooded killer. Guess you never really know somebody.
The Most Dangerous Animal of All
A man who begins a search for the father who abandoned him ends up on a journey that leads him to believe his father was one of the most notorious serial killers of all time, The Zodiac Killer himself. Certainly looks a lot like the sketches.
This FX original is streaming now on Hulu. It's as crazy as it is compelling.
