Most of the original cast of "That '70s Show" are returning for the upcoming Netflix spin-off series "That '90s Show."
Topher Grace, Laura Prepon, Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, and Wilmer Valderrama have all agreed to make guest appearances on the new series in their former roles, Variety reported.
Masterson, who played Hyde in the original series, will not be returning in the wake of multiple sexual assault allegations between 2001 and 2003. He is set to stand trial on August 29, 2022.
The streaming service first announced news of the spin-off series in October 2021.
Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp will reprise their original Red and Kitty Forman roles to star in the sequel.
Callie Haverda stars as Leia Forman and leads the cast of newcomers in the 10-episode multi-camera comedy. Ashley Aufderheide, Mace Coronel, Maxwell Acee Donovan, Reyn Doi, and Sam Morelos round out the cast.
"That '70s Show" originally ran on Fox for eight seasons from 1998 to 2006, following a group of teenage friends growing up in Point Place, Wisconsin. Most of its cast members went on to become stars.
According to The Hollywood Reporter,
"That '90s Show is set in 1995 and centers on Leia Forman, daughter of Eric and Donna, as she visits her grandparents for the summer and bonds with a new generation of Point Place kids."
"That '90s Show" is the second spin-off from "That '70s Show." In 2002, Fox premiered "That '80s Show," starring Glenn Howerton. However, the series received negative reviews and was canceled after one season.
