Bruce Bozzi is bringing back the lost art of conversation.

The former celebrity restauranteur is the host of new podcast, Table for Two with Bruce Bozzi, which features "engaging, interesting, curious conversations at the table over good food."

"My mission is to sit and just really have a long form, generous conversation with people that I'm interested in," Bozzi tells Sonia Baghdady of Advocate Now. "And I hope that the people that love the show are interested, too."

Table For Two features several famed guests, including George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Kate Hudson, and Anna Wintour, though Bozzi says they do not typically touch on the subjects audiences expect.

"Most people would think we would just be talking about fashion and the Met Ball and Vogue and what is [Wintour's] success," he explains. "But we're also talking about her love of theater and New York and really her ability and her love for positioning theater actors that nobody knows about in Vogue and really giving them a platform. It's a little nugget of Anna that people don't really know."

The show will also touch on deep subjects in some celebrities' lives, as in the episode with fashion icon Tom Ford. Bozzi says that they "really went deep" in their conversation, addressing the loss of his partner and being a single dad.

As for how he was able to get such private people to open up, Bozzi jokes, "I begged."

"One of the reasons the show is successful and people enjoy it is that I'm able to find common ground with people just naturally. I think it's sort of organic to my personality," he elaborates. "I don't go in with the intention of asking somebody something. It's not a 'gotcha' sort of conversation. It really is about a connection, a human connection."

Bozzi adds: "Listening is an art that's kind of gone away. People don't listen to one another. And I think that's what's special about Table for Two, is we just listen and we sit and we enjoy."

You can listen to Table for Two with Bruce Bozzi, from iHeartMedia and Airmail, every other Tuesday, wherever you get your podcasts.
