It's an iconic song, TV series, movie and musical... but the message behind 9 to 5 is now taking the spotlight in a new documentary.
Beyond the music, the story behind the hit 1980 film is being celebrated in the new documentary Still Working 9 to 5.
The movie is raising awareness on pay inequality for women in the workforce. Camille Hardman, along with twins Gary and Larry Lane, teamed up to direct the project.
"It does deal with those women's issues... equal pay, equal job advancement, sexual harassment, universal daycare... women are still fighting for those issues," Gary Lane said.
"We've got to make sure our work places are inclusive and everyone is valued," Camille Hardman said.
Dolly Parton and Kelly Clarkson are also teaming up for a special re-recording of the classic song "9 to 5" for the documentary.
Still Working 9 to 5 premieres worldwide at SXSW 2022.
