Shay Mitchell and Matte Babel are expecting their second child together!

The Pretty Little Liars actress announced the news to Instagram on Monday, Feb. 7 in a series of pictures showing off her growing bump. The star glowed as she posed topless for the shoot.

Shay captioned the post,

"Saying goodbye to a loved one while simultaneously experiencing the joy of welcoming another into this world is the great cycle of life, " she said, referencing her grandmother who passed away just last week.

The actress continued,

"It is also my most challenging season to date. I can’t help but think this was the universe’s plan all along, knowing I would need other worldly joy to cushion the blow of losing one of the most important people in my life. Yet, this is proof that love, life and loss can profoundly exist all at the same time."

Mitchell, who is already a mother to daughter Atlas, 2, concluded the heartfelt post,

"Gram, I miss you every day. Little one, we are so excited to meet you. I breathe a sigh of peace knowing you two are already connected in such a cosmic way."

Mitchell shared an emotional post to Instagram about the death of her "Gram" a week earlier telling fans her "heart is broken."

"She was and will forever be my best friend. From the imaginary games she would play with me when I was little to picking me up from high school because I was being bullied, to keeping scrapbooks of every article and magazine cover I have ever been in, she was my # 1 cheerleader," said Shay in the post.

Mitchell, who suffered a devastating miscarriage before her pregnancy with Atlas, admitted that she struggled with severe depression while being pregnant with her daughter.

She told ENews about her experience back in 2019,

"I wanted to be sure that this second pregnancy would be viable before shouting it from the rooftops, so I hid it for nearly six months and became very anti-social. Usually, I'm incredibly active and outgoing, but instead, I mainly stayed home to avoid stares and questions. I was extremely lonely," she said. "Pregnancy can be a hard time, especially if you’re having to hide it. After I came out publicly, I felt an enormous wave of relief and was finally able to start enjoying the pregnancy.”
