Shawn Mendes' New Album 'Wonder' Is A Love Letter To Camila Cabello

The pop singer gets real about being in love.

It's been a successful month for Shawn Mendes, as he's had two hit singles, a documentary, and now his newly released album called Wonder.

'Wonder' is Mendes' fourth studio album, which is composed of 14 tracks full of love songs to his girlfriend Camila Cabello. Some of these songs include the soulful R&B 'Teach Me How To Love,' an emotional 'Look Up At the Stars,' and a romantic '24 Hours' which just might be played at every wedding for the next five years.

When talking about his new album, Mendes told Entertainment Tonight:

"I know I really feel like I created an album that feels like freedom. I felt very free just making it. I felt like this is music that I love to listen to, this is music I want to hear, this is music I want to make and it's gorgeous for that reason."

He also wrote on Instagram to his fans:

"I sincerely hope you love this album even half as much as I do. Wonder taught me freedom & how to surrender to the magic of art. Songs from the heart & sounds from another time and world. I love you all so much, thank you for the support for so many years."

Shawn Mendes promoted his new album with a new Netflix documentary called 'In Wonder,' which shows the highs and lows of being an artist on tour, as well as the making of his 'Wonder' album and his love for Cabello. In the documentary, he reveals that all of his songs he's made are about the former 'Fifth Harmony' member:

"We're in New York, and my song comes on the radio or something, and the fact comes up that it's about her. And I'm like 'Yeah, it's about you. Everything's about you. They've always been about you.' She goes, 'What do you mean?' I'm like, 'They're all about you. Like every song I ever wrote.' And I'm rhyming off the songs like 'Treat You Better,' all these songs. She's like 'Oh my God.' She literally had no idea. This whole time, I thought she, like, knew. I don't think I'll be able to write songs that really do it justice, that can really capture the things and the feelings with her.
