We're reporting on some sad news this morning: one of the greatest actors of all time, Sean Connery, has passed away at the age of 90.
Connery's family confirmed the news to BBC this morning. According to the report, Connery passed away in his sleep in the Bahamas.
According to his son, Connery had been "unwell for some time."
Known for his iconic roles including the original 007 in the James Bond movies, Jim Malone in The Untouchables, Daniel Dravot in The Man Who Would Be King, and many more. The star was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2000.
Born in Fountainbridge, and neighborhood of Edinburgh, Scotland, Connery was a Scot through and through. With his iconic accent vocal activism for an independent Scotland, there will never be a Scot quite like Connery.
