In the new action thriller SAS: Red Notice, Heughan plays a special forces operator who tries to rescue a hijacked train.

"What's interesting about this character is that he also finds out, during the course of the movie, that he's a psychopath and that's an intriguing and strange conundrum for this character to discover," Heughan said.

Heughan also assures that the movie is a real roller coaster, going through a variety of places.

"We go to Paris, we're also in Spain, we're then in Hungary and London as well. It really has a great scope."

The actor is also incredibly grateful to work on multiple projects during such difficult times, including season six of Outlander.

"We're still shooting 'Outlander' at the moment, but I'm really pleased that people can at least watch us on demand, from the safety of their homes, which I think is really important," Heughan said.

Game of Thrones and Umbrella Academy fans will enjoy Tom Hopper popping up in this film as well!

"I think what's great about [SAS: Red Notice] is that there's a real morality to the movie. It's all about the human relationships in the action and the action complements that," Hopper said.
