It started as a sketch on Saturday Night Live, then it became a feature film, and now it’s a brand new streaming series!
After serving an eleven year sentence in prison for murdering his former nemesis, MacGruber is now recruited by General Fasoose for one last suicide mission. Will Forte (MacGruber), Kristen Wiig (Vicki St. Elmo) and Ryan Phillippe (Dixon Piper) all reprised their original roles in the new Peacock series.
"This is such a great group of people, not only are they incredibly funny and genius comedians, they are just so good and decent to be around so it's a pleasure," Phillippe said.
The series also includes Laurence Fishburne, Billy Zane and Joseph Lee Anderson.
"I was as nervous as I've ever been walking onto a set in my life and then I get there and everyones so humble and welcoming, they made me feel I was part of the franchise since the movie release," Anderson said.
MacGruber is streaming now on Peacock.
