In Vanquish, Ruby Rose plays a mother whose daughter has been taken hostage by a former drug courier played by Morgan Freeman. Our very own Arthur Kade had the honor of sitting down with the star herself to hear all about it.

Rose, who got her start from modeling and television, is now becoming Hollywood's newest action star.

We talked further with the star about when she knew she wanted to further her career and delve more into film after her breakout role on Orange is the New Black. Rose said:

"I would say right after 'Orange is the New Black,' after 'Orange' it just- the floodgates came in and they just opened the door up. I went into 'Resident Evil' to 'John Wick' to 'Triple X', I felt very honored and lucky to be doing that and to still be doing it, y'know. I'm very grateful to be here."

Rose also talked about working with the legendary Morgan Freeman:

"It does not get much better than that- with working alongside one of the greatest actors to ever exist in the history of film is, uh, something that I feel very blessed and very lucky to have been able to do."
