On Monday, Jamie Costa shared a piece of test footage to YouTube that has since gone viral. With nearly 2 million views and counting, the video is a screen test for a potential biopic about Robin Williams. The five minute long scene finds Costa portraying Williams on the set of Mork and Mindy.
The scene takes place March 5th 1982: the morning after John Belushi died. Costa is joined by Sarah Murphree who plays Pam Dawber, Williams' Mork & Mindy co-star. Dawber was the one who had to break the news of Belushi's death to Williams. Williams himself sadly passed away about 30 year after his friend. Shortly after Williams' death, Jamie Costa earned some recognition for his spot-on impressions of the late actor whom Costa credits as his inspiration. Now, with this new screen test surfacing, will we see Costa stepping into shoes of Williams in a major motion picture someday? We'll just have to wait and see.
