Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are "overwhelmed with happiness" at the birth of their second child, a source close to the family told NBC News.
The "Work" singer has found wild success through her chart-topping discography and her Fenty Beauty makeup line, but it's motherhood that empowered her to take on the daring Super Bowl performance where she revealed her second pregnancy.

"There’s this weird sh*t that happens when you become a mom, that you just unleash or unlock other parts of your superpower, you feel like you can take on or you could do anything," Rihanna told Extra reporter Terri Seymour. "I wanted to take on the challenge and I wanted to do something that would force me to get back onstage.”
Embracing parenthood has become a powerful fashion statement for the mother of two, who proudly displayed her baby bump at the 2023 Oscars. Earlier this month, her Savage x Fenty lingerie and loungewear line released a maternity collection.
“I want to remind people that you can still channel sexiness and feel good while being a parent,” she said.
Before Rocky swept her off her feet, Rihanna confessed that she didn't give much thought to motherhood.
"Having a baby is something she was never focused on, but being with Rocky opened her up to the idea. She couldn't be happier and is so excited to be a mom," a source close to the family told PEOPLE magazine.
But as their romance flourished, Rocky shared his delight at the thought of being a father in a GQ interview: "I think I’d be an incredible, remarkably, overall amazing dad. I would have a very fly child. Very."
The couple's first son was a pleasant surprise, Rihanna told Vogue. With the birth of her second baby, Rihanna now feels like her family is finally complete. A source informed PEOPLE that "she loves being a mom, so this is where her mind is at the moment."
