It could be weeks until an official call is made on the 2020 presidential election...and until that day, Americans will surely be feeling the pressure. In order to relieve some stress, here's ten relaxing TV shows that are binge worthy and sure to put you in a better mood!
Holiday Baking Championship (Food Network)
TONIGHT: @JessePalmerTV, @duffgoldman & @nancyfullerco are joined by new judge @carlahall for a brand new season of… https://t.co/Ts3BNM2ftf— Food Network (@Food Network) 1604332800
This cooking show is a recipe for holiday cheer! The season premiere aired this past Monday night and will have a new episode each week all the way through December. The Food Network has plenty of cooking competition shows but what makes this special is the wintery spin the contestants take on your favorite treats.
Holidate (Netflix)
Though not a TV show, Holidate is still on our list as the best place to get some new laughs. The film, which stars Emma Roberts and Luke Bracey, is a new Netflix Original comedy about dating for the holidays. Watching the trailer, it's already clear this movie will provide some much needed comedic relief while also kickstarting anticipation for family holidays. Only thing to worry about here is whether or not you need a "Holidate" of your own!
The Mandalorian (Disney Plus)
Chapter 9. Now Streaming. #TheMandalorian #DisneyPlus https://t.co/0W2sIvgRmt— The Mandalorian (@The Mandalorian) 1604062800
This may not be the most calming show to watch right now, but it's on our list because - wow. What an escape it is. The show is so well done in fact, it will make you feel out of this world. I know a lot of people wish they could leave earth for a day...or week. This Star Wars series just released the season two premiere episode on Disney Plus and will have a new episode available for streaming every week.
Tiny World (Apple TV+)
Meanwhile, over on Apple TV you can shrink your worries away and see what life is like as some of the smallest of creatures in the animal kingdom. Narrated by Paul Rudd, the Ant-man actor educated viewers about how things work for these tiny fellas. From bugs to sea creatures and everything in-between, years of footage comes together to bring you Tiny World.
The Great British Bake Off (Netflix)
What were we feeling in the air tonight during 80s Week? Great baking from our Star Baker Hermine! #GBBO https://t.co/Iaezll8KmM— British Bake Off (@British Bake Off) 1604439705
This baking show straight out of Britain is available for streaming on Netflix! When I tell you this is the most quaint, relaxing series to ever exist - I'm not joking. With witty judges and cheery contestants, all you have to do is close your eyes and let your worries melt away as their British accents sooth your mind. Plus, the food usually looks delicious. This show is a perfectly baked recipe of fun competition and relaxing banter.
The Masked Singer (Fox)
The Masked Singer is another perfect escape from the current reality. A pool of celebrities have been chosen to compete in a singing competition where their identities are kept secret and their voices power through. The show is currently on season four, which you can check out on Fox, and has even had a performance already go viral. Last week's episode, "the lips" performed 'Native New Yorker' and it was memorable to say the least. Check it out!
Get Organized with The Home Edit (Netflix)
The only thing more satisfying than organizing your own home, is watching someone organize your favorite celebrity's home. From Reese Witherspoon to Khloe Kardashian, this new Netflix series invites viewers into the homes (and closets) of some big names. My personal favorite moment was watching the team organize all of the Legally Blonde outfits that Reese Witherspoon keeps in her closet to this day. Plus, see how they choose to organize red carpet ball gowns.
Dream Home Makeover (Netflix)
The McGee's have invited you to their new Netflix series where they redesign homes and transform them into dream spaces. Similar to American politics, they're coming in with big ideas and a limited budget and must rely on their brains to pull off those transformations. Each episode will have you wondering what could be done to update your own home. We wonder if the McGee's would ever consider renovating the Whitehouse...
Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom (Disney+)
The Magic Of Disney's Animal Kingdom is perfect for any nature or Disney park lover. The entirety of this new series was filmed at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. The show invites you to "be our guest" for a behind the scenes look at what it takes to take care of these wild and rare animals. On top of that, viewers get an intimate look at why Disney chose to build the theme park and how you can make a difference from these animals while even at home.
Meet the Chimps (Disney+)
Nobody likes watching anybody monkeying around in the Whitehouse...instead, watch these monkeys as they exist in the world's biggest chimpanzee sanctuary. Disney Plus brought this original series to its streaming service on October 16th. Grab some bananas and watch the mischief narrated by Jane Lynch.
Which of these shows do you think will be the most relaxing?? Let's hope we don't have too much time to watch them all as we await results!
