'The Real Housewives of Orange County' Are Taking Time Off

RHOC

Andy Cohen reveals that The Real Housewives of Orange County are taking a break.

Time is valuable and sometimes you just need a break.

After 15 seasons The Real Housewives of Orange County are taking some time off. Andy Cohen announced this update to E! News that the girls with the glitz and the glam are trying to just "live their lives" for a little while.

The news came as Cohen was promoting his new show For Real: The Story of Reality TV, "I think that show's really important to a lot of people and it's the mothership of all the Housewives and so we just want to take our sweet time."

He continued saying how it living their lives is important especially when you live under the spot life most of the time for this show.

"You know there used to be times between seasons where we'd say, 'Let's just let the Housewives live their lives and we'll call on them in a bit.' And I think we're in that period in Orange County. I think it will be good for them to live their lives and then we'll pick it back up when we need to," Cohen stated.

Although, there is no need to stress because Cohen mentioned how there are many Housewives episodes in production so the rush to get the RHOC on air is very slim.

Recently, there has been some minor controversy with RHOC member Kelly Dodd about her political opinion during their reunion.

Bravo's favorite reality guru came to her defense saying "Here's the thing: Kelly Dodd is from Orange County, where a lot of people share her beliefs in masks and other things." He continued on with saying, "On the one hand, she is a Real Housewife of Orange County and this is what she believes and she's not an elected official. She's not Michelle Obama who we are looking at for this information. That's just an amalgamation of thoughts that lead in no directions."

Moving forward, there is no need to stress because many other Bravo shows are in the works. Cohen previously mentioned The Real Housewives of Miamimight be getting a reboot on with Peacock, but he has no recent updates.

"All I can really say is we're developing the show and we'll see what happens," Cohen said.
