Randall Emmett is publicly addressing his split from Lala Kent for the first time since the Vanderpump Rules star ended their engagement due to Emmett's alleged cheating.

The film producer appeared on an episode of Golnesa Gharachedaghi's Genuinely GG podcast where he discussed his break up with Kent. Although he acknowledged the split, he refused to respond to Kent's persistent cheating allegations against him.

Emmett explained that he would not go there because he could "never disparage or talk ill" about the mother of his child. The couple share one-year-old daughter Ocean together.

"I just have to always look at the big picture...I just can't talk badly about the mother of my child. I just can't do it. No matter what is said about me," said Emmett.

"I just don't feel it's appropriate," he continued. "I can't tell her what to do. She's a strong woman. And, you know, I just hope that in time, that kind of all mellows out."

Emmett said that both him and Kent made "mistakes" and although there are two sides to the story, he said he's never going to share his side publicly.

On March 2, Kent spoke out again about her ex and claimed that Emmett had created a "toxic environment" for her and their daughter before she called off the engagement in October of last year, due to Emmett's alleged cheating.

Despite Kent's public criticisms, Emmett maintained that he would not be engaging publicly on the matter.

"I'll just really keep my head down," Randall said. "I'm trying to focus on, for me, what's important right now, which is being a dad to my three girls and to work."

Emmett shares 2 other children, London, 12, and Rylee, 9, with ex-wife, You actress Ambyr Childers.

In light of his breakup with Kent, Emmett explained how nasty people have been online towards him and worries how it will affect his kids, as daughter London has access to the internet.

"That's the worst part for me," Emmett said.

"They don't know me," he continued. "They never met me. They know nothing about my life or my childhood or my upbringing and things I've been through, the struggles that I've gone through as a young person and even today. And they just sit at a computer and fire like the nastiest, most evil stuff I've ever seen."

Despite the ongoing struggles and friction between Emmett and Kent, he is still grateful for the relationship because of their daughter Ocean.

"That is the most important thing. And when I think about all the chaos...I just try to think, you know, we have this beautiful girl and she wouldn't be here if it wasn't for us. And that is worth all of the turmoil and the heartbreak and the pain that has gone on. I'm not saying that I'm happy about any of it. I'm not, I'm sad, but at the same time, I have Ocean, she has Ocean, and I think we both would say that we have her out of this and how can we not be grateful?"

Kent has previously revealed that the couple is communicating via an app and only discuss matters related to their daughter.

Emmett praised Kent for being a great mother and said he was hopeful their relationship would get better over time.

"Ocean's very lucky to have two parents who love her as much as we both do. At the end of the day, that's all I can ask for."
