Prince Harry and Meghan Markle bring attention to sustainable investment partnering with Ethic, a financial services and technology company founded in 2015. The company is mostly focused on issues such as climate change, social responsibility and racial justice: all topics Prince Harry and Markle have at heart.
The couple is specifically collaborating with a company that creates investment portfolios for its users and according to DealBook it has more than $1.3 billion under management.
In a blog post published on October 12th, Ethic shared the reasons for collaborating with The Duke and Duchess of Sussex:
"They're deeply committed to helping address the defining issues of our time—such as climate, gender equity, health, racial justice, human rights, and strengthening democracy—and understand that these issues are inherently interconnected. So much so, in fact, that they became investors in Ethic earlier this year and have investments managed by Ethic as well."
And when it comes to making progress, Harry and Meghan's perspective is clear: everyone should have a seat at the table and have a voice to be heard. Ethic continued explaining the main goal that the couple has set for themselves as impact partners.
"Now they want to shine a light on how we can all impact the causes that affect our communities, bring transparency into how the corporate world sets the tone and shapes outcomes for everyday families, and believe that more people should have a seat at the table when it comes to making progress."
This is the latest corporate partnership of the couple since relocating to the U.S....
.... But this is not the first time The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have made deals with the business world.
Ever since leaving the monarchy, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been unstoppable. They have launched a nonprofit charitable organization called Archewell, signed a podcast deal with Spotify and a film and TV deal with Netflix.
Furthermore, Prince Harry has also produced a docuseries titled The Me You Can't See with famous host Oprah Winfrey. The series, released in May 2021 on Apple TV+, delved into discussions around mental health with real-life stories from across the globe.
In the series, Prince Harry underlines the importance of speaking up about mental issues, eradicating the stigma that unfortunately still exists around mental and emotional well-being.
"To make that decision to receive help is not a sign of weakness. In today's world, more than ever, it is a sign of strength."
And while investing in new businesses, Prince Harry is also writing a memoir, set to be released in 2022. It really does seem that the couple can't get enough of getting into projects they truly believe in.
