Meghan Markle Celebrates 40th In Video With Melissa McCarthy

Meghan Markle celebrates turning 40 today by releasing a comedic video with Melissa McCarthy.

The actress turned Duchess of Sussex released a video on her Archewell Foundation website announcing 40x40, "a global effort encouraging people around the world to commit to giving 40 minutes of their time to support women going back to work," the Duchess's office said in a statement on Wednesday.

The Duchess asked 40 athletes, artists, activists and world leaders "to participate by contributing 40 minutes of mentorship to women reentering the workforce" after millions of women lost their jobs due to COVID-19.

As Markle tries to get the message across to McCarthy as for what her charitable birthday plans are, McCarthy continually interrupts with many assumptions including a Suits reunion, getting matching tattoos of the two pals and a yacht party. McCarthy makes all of these suggestions while dressed up in a dress suited for a royal wedding guest, including a floppy over-the-top hat, with pearls and gloves, naturally with a cup of tea in her hand.

Later in the video in an outtake, Prince Harry is seen juggling outside of the window of the couple's Montecito mansion which sent McCarthy into hysterics. A confused Markle then turns around at her desk to see her husband and laughs.

The video featured a rare glimpse of the newest addition to the royal family, Markle's two-month-old daughter Lilibet Diana, in a photo frame on Markle's desk. The royal couple's second child, who is named after her great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II childhood family nickname has recently been added to the Royal Line of Succession.

Three months prior to the birth of their daughter, the couple announced in a sit-down interview with Oprah Winfrey that they would be having a baby girl, trading the life of English royalty for a more secluded upbringing for their children in California. Four days after Lilibet's birth, Markle released a children's illustrated book called The Bench which went on to become a New York Times best-seller.

In the upcoming year, fans can expect to see Prince Harry and Markle in their Netflix series, titled Heart of Invictus. The episodes "will follow a group of extraordinary competitors from around the globe, all service members who have suffered life-changing injuries or illnesses on their road to the Invictus Games The Hague 2020, now set to take place in 2022," according to a Netflix press release.
