Prince George of Cambridge was born eight years ago today. His parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton, are sending their love publicly.

On July 22nd, 2013, William and Kate welcomed their first child into the world, a baby boy who they named George. His birth was widely celebrated all across the globe, and especially in the media. This is because George is third in line of succession to the British throne and is expected to become King one day.

The day before his 8th birthday in 2021, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took to Instagram to post a wholesome photo of the smiling boy as he sits outside on a Land Rover on what appears to be a cloudy day. The photograph was taken by Kate herself in Norfolk, the family's residence outside of London. The Land Rover is a nod to his recently passed great grandfather Prince Phillip, who owned several in his lifetime.
