In the midst of the Broadway shutdown, Playbill is getting creative by launching a new series that features what our favorite stars have been up to and how they are handling this time apart. Here is a list of a few stars they have featured:

Samantha Pauly

Samantha Pauly plays Katherine Howard in the new Broadway musical SIX that was supposed to open the day New York theaters shutdown. When asked what her typical day like is now, Pauly responded by saying:

"During quarantine I've been posting a song a day to my Instagram via requests from fans and friends. So that gives me regularity as well because I try and get it done and posted by the same time every day."

As Pauly was supposed to be making her broadway debut, Paybill followed up by asking how she kept her creative juices flowing during this time:

"Like I said, I'm doing a song a day on my Instagram (@sampauly). I've taken requests from people in my DMs, and some songs I know and others I don't. It keeps me busy, but it's also allowed me to work on things other than SIX."

Linda Lavin

"I came back to New York in March to start work on The Bedwetter by Sarah Silverman, Joshua Harmon, and the late Adam Schlesinger, who wrote the music, with Anne Kauffman directing for The Atlantic Theater Company. When the city closed down, the play was postponed."

Aditionally, Lavin had given advice for anyone who is struggling with quarantine:

"Reach out and know that you're not alone. Somebody else is also having those moments, and they will be so glad to hear from you."

Andrea Macasaet

Andrea Macasaet is also making her Broadway debut in the musical SIX by playing Anne Boleyn. When asked what a typical day for her looks like, Macasaet said:

"I have officially touched down on Canadian soil and will be riding out the remaining time of the shutdown at my parent's house in Winnipeg, Manitoba, until Broadway opens up again. Although I've been quarantined in my New York apartment since the shutdown, as per international travel guidelines and requirements, I am self-isolating for the next 14 days."

To make quarantine more enjoyable, she continued by mentioning her favorite book she had read:

"I recently finished the book and series of Little Fires Everywhere. It is an amazing story to begin with, and the series heightened the stakes of the piece even more with glorious storytelling by Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington!"

Christina Bianco

Christina Bianco most recently has been seen playing Fanny Brice inFunny Girl in Paris. Drama Desk nominee, Bianco has appeared in many productions in New York City such as The Marvelous Wonderettes, Application Pending and Newsical the Musical. When asked what her typical day is like now, here is what Bianco said:

"One of the most important things I've learned is to avoid reading the news first thing in the morning. It's never uplifting, and I need to start my days off with as positive an outlook as possible. So I usually wait until wine-o'clock to read the AP, etc."

Bianco was also asked to give advice to people who are struggling with quarantine, she shared:

"Take it one day at a time. It's easy to compare yourself to others who may seem to be doing great, staying busy, and planning ahead, but they don't know what's coming either. Take care of yourself, and accept that there will be good days and bad days."

Jennifer Simard

Jennifer Simard is currently playing Sarah in the Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim's Company. She is a Tony nominated performer previously in Mean Girls, Disaster!, and many more. When asked what she was doing to pass the time in quarantine, she responded with:

"I'm pretty obsessed with the TV show Dispatches From Elsewhere on AMC. It was created by Jason Segal, and I've noticed Scott Rudin is one of the producers. It is right up my outside-the-box alley and is just a kaleidoscope of creativity. I. LOVE. IT."

Simard had also given advice to those struggling in quarantine, she stated:

"It's OK to say "no" to invites if you feel like hiding under the covers, and like my favorite Peloton coach Christine says, be very careful and kind with the words you choose to say to yourself."
