Tina Fey Returns as 22

Starring Emmy winning actress and writer Tina Fey of 30 Rock (2006-2013), "22 vs. Earth" takes place many moons before 22 and star of Soul Joe Gardner (Jamie Foxx) meet.

"22 vs. Earth" focuses on 22's dissatisfaction with The Great Before, assembling a team of quite high-spirited new souls to defy expectations explaining to them why she refuses to go to Earth.

Soul editor Kevin Nolting will be taking on the spin-off's directing position. Nolting spoke of the prequel stating,

"While making Soul, we talked about the why of a new soul not wanting to live on Earth, but it didn't ultimately belong in that movie. '22 vs. Earth' was a chance to explore some of the unanswered questions we had about why 22 was so cynical. As a fairly cynical person myself, it felt like perfect material."

On a high off of two Golden Globe Awards and two BAFTA Awards, fans of the franchise are eager to see what's next.
