Brad Pitt is accusing his ex-wife Angelina Jolie of intentionally harming his wine business by selling her shares of Château Miraval to a Russian billionaire with shady business dealings.
Back in 2008, the two bought a controlling stake in a South of France vineyard and home, Château Miraval, where the two later got married in 2014.
The pair divorced in 2019 and are also battling over custody rights of their six children.
According to People, in Pitt's latest court filing, the actor claimed his ex-wife "sought to inflict harm on him" by selling her shares to Tenute del Mondo-- a company that Pitt's Lawyers say is "bent on taking control of Miraval" and is "indirectly owned and controlled by Yuri Shefler, the Russian billionaire who controls the Stoli Group."
Pitts' team accused Shefler of having "cutthroat business tactics and dubious professional associations."
If the deal goes through, Pitt's team claims it will "jeopardize the reputation of the brand Pitt so carefully built," adding,
"Jolie has sought to force Pitt into partnership with a stranger, and worse yet, a stranger with poisonous associations and intentions."
Pitt is now asking for a trial by jury to settle this suit against Jolie.
