Keeping up with his annual tradition, the 44th President of the United States released his picks for this year's March Madness tournament, men and women, which kicks off with the First Four today on TruTV and TBS.
Women's Bracket
In the Women's Bracket, Obama has a final four of Maryland, NC State, Stanford, and Baylor, with a final game of Stanford v. Baylor, ending in a victory for the Baylor ladies. That's not a bad pick, given that aside from UConn's nine, Baylor has the most tournament wins all time with three.
But, picking Stanford over my hometown Terps has me questioning how this guy ran a country for eight years.
Now, in the men's area, Obama has a Final Four of Gonzaga, Michigan, Illinois, and Baylor, with Gonzaga taking home the chip. This is a bit more of a controversial pick, honestly, because Gonzaga year after year is a 1 seed, and year after year loses almost immediately, despite being one of the best teams in the country, ruining brackets across America.
Hopefully the pressure of not busting Obama's bracket will put some pep in their step this March.
