Westbrook is devoted to promoting racial equality and was joined by Spurs forward DeMar DeRozen along with musician and long standing activist Kendrick Lamar. Westbrook spoke to the crowd before calling a moment of silence.

Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller showed support at a Black Lives Matter protest in Denver alongside many of his teammates. Miller responded to the issue on Instagram saying:

"If you consider yourself an ally, it is time to have tough conversations with your fellow man because the responsibility of deconstructing bigotry doesn't fall on those burdened by it."

Deontay Wilder Scribes Powerful Poem

Former WBC Heavyweight Champion Deontay Wilder posted a powerful poem on social media, touching on the issues of slavery, police brutality, and racial injustices. With ominous thunder and lightning in the background, Wilder says:

"To this day jailed, raped, gunned, how long will it last? As if Malcom X and MLK wasn't a must. As Eric Garner, Breonna Taylor, Trayvon Martin all died from well just being us. Dark like molasses, black like the night, unite we stand together we fight."
