Already killing it on his Life of Don concert tour, rap sensation Don Toliver just dropped his Life of Don album this Friday morning. On top of Don's big release, James Blake released his highly-anticipated album as well.
Don Toliver's Album Drop 'Life of Don'
Releasing only his second studio album and third music project, Life of Don was propagated to have high expectations and rumored to include some impressive features. Though Don didn't disclose any of his features until the album's release, fans are still thrilled to hear tracks including Baby Keem, Kali Uchis, and even two featuring Travis Scott. The rollout for Life of Don began with his hit release of 'What You Need' back in May, and then followed up with quite a few teasers, hinting at the album's name and a potential release date. Life of Don dropped today, October 8 and is now available to stream.
James Blake's Album about Heartbreak, ' Friends That Break Your Heart'
Also exciting fans with a big drop, singer-songwriter James Blake released his new album this Friday, expressing some of the emotions he's felt after relationships faltered during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Delivering songs dealing with frustration and sorrow, Friends That Break Your Heart provides fans with extremely relatable, yet still captivating, songs. Some notable tracks to take a listen to include 'Frozen', which features JID and Swavay, and 'Coming Back', which features Sza.
The Alchemist Returns with 'This Thing of Ours Vol. 2'
The Alchemist dropped the first volume of This Thing of Ours back in April, which featured rap artists like Boldy James, Navy Blue and Earl Sweatshirt. The DJ, rapper, producer, and songwriter is back this Friday with a sequel album, exciting fans with features from more rappers including MIKE, MAVI, and Vince Staples. Hip hop duo group Atmosphere also dropped a huge album today, WORD?, which is the group's most recent album since they last dropped The Day Before Halloween last year. Creating the lyrics for their album, Slug, and producing the beats for each track, Ant, the pair work cohesively together to make some pretty moody beats on this latest album.
