Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the 70th annual NBA All-Star game set for March 7th in Atlanta. Let's take a look at who will be performing this year!
Gladys Knight
The Empress of Soul herself will be performing the American national anthem in the Atlanta arena before tip-off.
Alessia Cara
Meanwhile, pop sensation Alessia Cara will be performing the Canadian national anthem live for her home country live from Toronto.
HBCUs
The NBA will have a number of performance troupes of HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) performing throughout the weekend. The Clark Atlanta University Philharmonic Society Choir will perform "Lift Every Voice and Song" virtually from their campus, in tribute to alum and writer of the black national anthem James Weldon Johnson.
Additionally, the marching bands for Florida A&M University and Grambling State University will be performing during lineup announcements.
The NBA All-Star reserves will be announced tonight at 7 pm on TNT!
