While promoting his new movie, Jordan remembered Chadwick Boseman who sadly passed away at the age of 43 after fighting against colon cancer. Cagle asked Jordan how likely it is that we'll see his character Erik Killmonger again in the sequel of Black Panther. On a scale of 1 to 10, Jordan replied:

"10 being most likely and one being least likely right. Go with a solid two."

Although his chances of returning are extremely low, Jordan said "never say never." Wether he'll participate again in the Marvel's universe or not, he still hopes that Black Panther 2 is everything we hope:

I know Ryan and Marvel are going to do the absolute best job at developing a story in a way that it makes everybody happy and satisfied and honors Chad [Boseman] and moves forward with grace."

Cagle then asked him if he had been able to watch Boseman's last performance on screen with Ma Rainey's Black Bottom after knowing about Boseman's death. Although reluctant at the beginning, Jordan finally watched it:

"It was an incredible performance man. I mean you can see it, him giving everything he had, you know, obviously he knew something that nobody else did. But truly powerful, truly incredible, legendary."

Cagle also wondered if he had been surprised as many that Boseman hadn't win at the Oscars and Jordan said:

"There's no award that can validate his legacy. There's no win that can take anything away from the lives around the world that he impacted his family, myself included, so you gotta look at the things that we can control and the gifts and the blessings that he left us and that's this incredible body of work and what he represents for as a person and as the biggest one we could really ask for."

And for what concerns directing the third installment of Creed, Cagle asked Jordan when he plans to start shooting:

"Probably before the end of the year, around like probably mid-November or so this year."

Cagle then asked if Jordan had any idea that Creed would have such huge success. As Cagle said "it's another Rocky, but it'd been a long time since there was Rocky." Jordan said that he was excited for the project from the very beginning:

"I was really excited about it. You know the legend has it, Ryan [Coogler] pitched me this movie before we even shot Fruitvale Station, our first movie together, before we even shot one frame and it kind of just speaks to our relationship cause I was like, 'cool, let's do it.' So we were pitching that movie and it all just kind of fell into, fell into place. And you never really know it's going to be as big. We were telling an honest story from a real place, Ryan's connection with his father and these Rocky films were personal."

And from that moment, everything started to come together. Jordan continued:

So I kinda adopted that ambition and that spirit and building this character in that Creed world, I started to daydream and think about what a potential Creed II at that time would be. And then we knock out a Creed II, and then it's like, all right, you know, if I ever got the opportunity to step behind the camera, this is kind of where I want to see Adonis [Creed] and his family go. And this is the story that I want to tell. And I'm blessed enough to be in that position to be able to do that now.
