Michael B. Jordan is taking on racial injustice in Hollywood.

Using his platform, Black Panther and Creedleading man Michael B. Jordan is speaking up about police brutality and racial injustice, pointing at Hollywood to step up and change the status quo. Jordan joined in protest over the weekend to share what Hollywood can immediately start doing to support black creators in the entertainment industry.

Jordan's Remarks

Jordan took to the streets in Century City in fighting for racial equality, where he delivered powerful words to the crowd. He goes on to share how Hollywood can enact real change, saying:

"I want us to invest in black staff. I'm proud to have an inclusion rider and all that good stuff, and I use my power to demand diversity, but it's time the studios and agencies and all these buildings we stand in front of do the same."

With the support of fellow protestors, Jordan continued to explain the need for Hollywood to commit to hiring and representing more black creators. Jordan followed up by calling out Hollywood on their failure to step up:

"You committed to a 50/50 gender parity in 2020. Where is the challenge to commit to black hiring? Black content led by black executives, black consultants. Are you policing our storytelling as well? Let us bring our darkness to the light."
