Various stars use their alter ego as a means of escape or inspiration, similar to Megan Thee Stallion's Tina Snow.
Megan Thee Stallion - Tina Snow
Meg Thee Stallion has officially changed all of her social media names to Tina Snow, a name fans are not a stranger to. The rapper's second EP is titled Tina Snow (2018) and features a set list of 10 songs, including the rapper's hit "Freak Nasty" (2018).
Tina has been around since 2018, even featured in the Grammy nominated artist's song "Tina Montana" (2018).
Miley Cyrus - Hannah Montana
Speaking of Montana, we can't discuss alter egos without acknowledging one of the most iconic alter egos: Miley Cyrus' Hannah Montana.
Hannah Montana was birthed as a Disney Channel show, however her impact went further than the screen. The Disney star has five soundtrack albums under the Walt Disney label, as well as numerous amounts of live concerts.
Unlike other stars, Cyrus wanted to escape her alter ego, not embrace it. In 2013, the Grammy nominated artist announced the pop star to be dead after constantly being asked about her. However, the singer has since been resurrected by the singer-songwriter herself via Instagram and her legacy lives on.
Beyoncé - Sasha Fierce
Sasha Fierce is Queen Bey's alter ego when she performs on stage. The Grammy award winning superstar released her third studio album in 2008 titled I am... Sasha Fierce.
The beloved artist talked about Sasha Fierce while on The Oprah Winfrey Show (1986-2011) in 2008, Beyoncé revealed that her alter ego is a character that takes over her once she walks on stage in costume and makeup, leaving all feelings of nervousness behind.
Eminem - Slim Shady
Artist Eminem released his second studio album titled The Slim Shady LP in 1999, featuring the hit "My Name Is" (1999).
The rapper has revealed Slim Shady to be his alter ego who reveals his genuine emotions and feelings.
"The emotions in a song, the anger, aggression have got to be legitimate."
Christina Aguilera - Xtina
Christina Aguilera revealed Xtina back in 2002, promoting her fourth studio album Stripped. The Grammy award winning star hoped to strip away the good girl reputation she had from her Mickey Mouse Club (1955-1996) days.
Like Tina Snow, Xtina is the handle of the singer's social media platforms, as well as a tattoo on the back of her neck.
We thank these alter egos for producing some of the most memorable singles and performances in the music industry, which we will undoubtedly receive from Tina Snow as well.
