Hallmark Channel's new original film finds a soap opera legend returning to the screen in a role fans wouldn't expect.
That's right, Linda Dano is back in front of the camera, but this time around, she's flipping the script. In A Little Daytime Drama, Dano plays a soap opera producer.
"I copied it after a very close dear friend of mine who was an exec producer. When I was offered the job, I called her and said I'm about to play a movie that I play you in... and she said 'What?!'"
Dano starred as the iconic Felicia on Another Worldback in the 80s and into the 90s. Now, in A Little Daytime Drama, Dano is teaming up with two General Hospital alums Jen Lilley and Ryan Paevey.
"There's a sweetness and a generosity with both of them. It makes it easy to look at another actor that you know is right there with you and gives back to you what you're trying to give to them. It felt so much like a family. It was sort of like going back to Another World for me."
In an interview with Advocate Channel, Lilley stated that Dano "was amazing," adding "she's such a sassy broad." Her co-star Paevey stated that he was "honored and privileged to get to work with her." So, it's safe to say that Dano's feelings of family were mutual.
A Little Daytime Drama airs August 21st on Hallmark.
