The Beginning of the Trilogy

The first installment of the saga premiered in 2018 titled Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance. Murray Fraser played Prince Harry and Jessica Jones (2015-2019) actress Parisa Fitz-Henley played Meghan Markle. The film followed the two's love story from the very beginning, navigating the media and changing tradition.

'Harry & Meghan: Becoming Royal' (2019)

Harry & Meghan: Becoming Royal introduced a new pair of actors in the lead roles: Genius' (2017-) Charlie Field and Supernatural's (2005-2020) Tiffany Smith. The movie follows the pair as they navigate their road to the royal wedding with members on both sides questioning the two's relationship and Markle's ability to lead.

The Trilogy Continues

Two weeks after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's emotional interview with Oprah, revealing their reasoning behind leaving the Royal Family, Lifetime has now announced the third installment of the Harry & Meghan series: Harry & Meghan: Escaping the Palace (2021).

Set to begin production in late spring of this year, the film will follow the two as they decide to leave the ties of the Royal Family and the personal issues they had to face with themselves and family members. Lifetime stated the film would,

"reveal what really happened inside the palace that drove Harry and Meghan to leave everything behind in order to make a future for themselves and their son Archie."

The third film is produced by the same women behind the first two Merideth Finn and Michele Weiss, as well as the same writer Scarlett Lacey and director Menhaj Huda.
