Lifetime’s latest holiday film, Under The Christmas Tree, is the network’s first movie centered around a lesbian romance.
The movie follows two women who initially fight over the perfect Christmas tree, but eventually find a connection.
"I think it is important to find that balance between being excited that it's happening and grateful that it's happening and still remaining critical," Elise Bauman said.
"Any kind of marginalized representation is fantastic. If you watch this movie and identify with any part of it, then that's just fantastic," Tattiawna Jones said.
Under The Christmas Tree premieres Sunday, December 19th, on Lifetime.
