(DEVELOPING STORY) Sad news to report today: legendary broadcaster Larry King has passed away at the age of 87. His death was confirmed by his son this morning, according to CNN.
Hosting Larry King Live for over 25 years, it seems as if Larry King has interviewed everyone worth interviewing over the course of his career. A statement was released this morning on his official facebook page, reading:
""With profound sadness, Ora Media announces the death of our co-founder, host and friend Larry King, who passed away this morning at age 87 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles...For 63 years and across the platforms of radio, television and digital media, Larry's many thousands of interviews, awards, and global acclaim stand as a testament to his unique and lasting talent as a broadcaster."
During his run at CNN, King recorded 3,000 episodes and interviewed over 60,000 guests.
Born on November 19th, 1933 in Brooklyn, New York, Larry King began his career as a disk jockey in Miami in 1957.
With an iconic career and undisputed reputation as one the best to ever do it, Larry King has left in mark not only on broadcasting, but American culture.
