For context, Chyna got into a relationship with Rob Kardashian, the son of Kris Jenner, in January 2016. In May, the pair announced that they were expecting, but by 2017, they were done for good. Chyna and Rob share 5-year-old daughter Dream Kardashian.
The model initially sued Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Khloé Khloe Kardashian and Kylie Jenner for $40 million over a loss of earnings and over $60 million in future earnings, claiming the family influenced the cancellation of the second season of the show “Rob & Chyna.”
The Kardashian-Jenner family has denied the claim and following their win, the Kardashian-Jenner members are asking Chyna to pay for their legal costs amounting to $390,000.
While on the stand during the defamation trial, Jenner said, “They had an option that they didn’t exercise,” explaining to the jury that as her son’s manager, she would have been privy to any notice coming from the network informing him, as talent, that the series had been given the greenlight for the second season.
“He never got a letter,” she said. “There was nothing to cancel.”
Kim testified during the defamation trial that she had no memory of making any attempt to cancel the reality show that starred the pair.
The jury found the Kardashian-Jenner family not guilty of defaming Chyna in May. No monetary damages were awarded to Chyna.
Following the ruling, Chyna's lawyer said she planned to appeal the decision.
