'Knives Out 2' Begins Production In Greece

Daniel Craig

We just got our first look at Rian Johnson's Knives Out sequel.

Knives Out was one of the most popular movies of 2019, so it's no surprise that Star Warsdirector Rian Johnson already has a sequel in the works. According to a recently-released set photo, production has officially begun on the latest addition to the franchise, which is being filmed in Greece.

Almost nothing is known about the plot of Knives Out 2, aside from the fact that James Bond actor Daniel Craig is reprising his role as zestful detective Benoit Blanc from the first movie. As such, this new set photo gives us an unexpected glimpse into what the new film might look like.

Though Craig is apparently the only actor returning from the original Knives Out, the new cast is full to the brim with A-list talent. WandaVision's Kathryn Hahn, Guardians of the Galaxystar Dave Bautista, and Hamilton's Leslie Odom Jr. are all confirmed to be appearing in the film, as are Janelle Monáe and Kate Hudson.

Despite the fact that Knives Out 2 is unfinished, work on the third installment has already begun. Rian Johnson has reportedly already finished a draft of the script for Knives Out 3, which was purchased by Netflix in a $469 million deal. Both it and Knives Out 2 will debut on the streaming service at a currently undisclosed point in the future.

A release date for Knives Out 2 should be announced within the next two months.
