The Grammy winning singer turned Daytime Emmy winning talk-show host Kelly Clarkson proves to be the perfect choice to fill in for Simon Cowell as a judge on America's Got Talent after he suffered a back injury.
Clarkson has been sharpening her judging skills recently as a coach on The Voice and expanding her skill-set on her popular talk-show The Kelly Clarkson Show. Now, the singer/ host will fill in for the man who once judged her on American Idol.
Cowell will be sitting out to recuperate for the Tuesday and Wednesday episodes of America's Got Talent this week with Clarkson joining fellow judges Howie Mandell, Heidi Klum, and Sofia Vergara.

Clarkson shared the news on her social media accounts with a cheeky message saying:
"My friend, Simon Cowell, is doing better now but was in an accident and won't be able to make Tuesday and Wednesday's live shows for AGT, but no worries America, someone far wiser, cooler, and hotter is taking his seat!" Clarkson wrote. "The unbelievably amazing Kelly Clarkson. You're welcome in advance!"
