Hollywood Insider Arthur Kade is talking with these two talk-show hosts to tell us about the new movie Then Came You. Watch as Kathie Lee Gifford and Craig Ferguson come together in a way they never have before in this new romantic comedy.
Beloved Television Hosts Coming Together In A Rom-Com
Both Gifford and Ferguson have talk-show hosts for years now, and they are both coming together to change the pace of things and act in a movie. The two have previously over the years and Gifford talks about her first encounter with Ferguson when they both appeared as guests on the same talk show:
"Well for me, it's a dream come true. I've been in love with Craig since I met him on The Drew Carey Show a gazillion years ago."
Kathie Lee Gifford wrote the film with Ferguson in mind.
Along with playing the role of Annabelle, Gifford actually wrote and produced this film. She talks about how she had a character for Craig Ferguson in mind and that helped her create her story:
"I had him in my head. In fact, it was your wife, Megan, Craig, who said 'You gotta do this. Boy does Kathie get you.' I just had his voice in my head and I had to write this movie for him."
Ferguson and his wife, Megan Wallace Cunningham, both knew that this role was great for him. Ferguson adds:
"Its true, my wife read the script before me and said 'You gotta do this, this is the best thing anyone's written for you.'"
Ferguson plays Howard, the owner of an inn while Gifford's character, Annabelle, is a guest and the two eventually fall in love.
Then Came You is now available to watch on demand.
