The action series starring Keanu Reeves has grown a massive following since the first film. The movies have received critical praise with each film receiving an average Rotten Tomatoes score of 88%. While the 3rd was expected to be the finale, the ending said otherwise. The 3rd film ended on a cliffhanger, leaving many more sequel opportunities. In a statement, Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheime shared:

"We're also busy preparing scripts for the next two installments of our John Wick action franchise, with John Wick 4 slated to hit theaters Memorial Day weekend 2022. We hope to shoot both John Wick 4 and 5 back-to-back when Keanu becomes available early next year,"

John Wick 4 is set to release on May 27, 2022, and John Wick 5 is set to release the following year. Lions Gate hopes to film both movies back to back when Reeves becomes available next year.

John Wick fans have no reason not to be excited for the future!
