This American television producer is set to become the new host of Jeopardy!
According to Variety, it looks like the search for a new Jeopardy! host might be over. After the tragic passing of Alex Trebek, the show had guest hosts to keep the game running in his absence. The guest hosts included Anderson Cooper, Mayim Bialik, and even Aaron Rodgers.
Although the show tried out several different esteemed guest hosts, it seems they may have landed on Mike Richards as permanent host. This decision has left fans scratching their heads. Many people took to social media to share their thoughts.

Many found humor in the fact that out of all the guest hosts to choose from, it seems like Mike Richards chose himself to take the reins. But of all the outrage to come from this news, one name is on everyone’s mind: LeVar Burton.

With his charisma and love for the game, the Reading Rainbow host seemed like a clear choice for the new Jeopardy! host. But alas, the outpouring of support for Burton wasn’t enough to secure him the spot as the new permanent host.
Nevertheless, Mike Richards’ love and respect for the game of Jeopardy! shines through as he hosts. During his run as guest host, Richards paid homage to Alex Trebek:
“He was an idol of mine, and I will work every day to try to live up to the example he set.”
There’s no doubt that Richards will stick to his word and try to do right by the late great Alex Trebek
