TV Icon and Jeopardy!'s beloved host, Alex Trebek, passed away on November 8th, after a battle with stage four pancreatic cancer.
Trebek was diagnosed in March of 2019 and since he announced his diagnosis, had been very open about his treatment and battle with the illness. He continued to host Jeopardy until the end, filming his last episode less than two weeks before his death.
Jeopardy's executive producer, Mike Richards, spoke to fans on the show's stage in honor of Trebek:

Trebek was originally from Canada, but became a US Citizen in 1998. He hosted Jeopardy for 36 years. Over his career, Trebek was nominated for over 30 Emmys, winning more than half a dozen, and he received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Daytime Emmy Awards in 2011. He also set the Guinness World Record for the most game show episodes hosted by the same presenter.
Trebek was a beacon of kindness, decency, and knowledge for many, and a constant presence in many American households. He will truly be missed.
