Jane Fonda in Five Acts Hollywood Premiere
Lisa Kudrow, Don Johnson, and Rosanna Arquette were among the celebrity friends who stepped out to celebrate Jane Fonda at the Los Angeles premiere of her HBO documentary.
We asked Jane Fonda what we will learn about her in this documentary.
“That I have allowed myself to be defined by men for so long, and that I’ve been insecure.”
As an outspoken champion for women and progressive causes throughout her career, Fonda has led a very public life. We asked another highly-visible star, Don Johnson, what Fonda is like on a personal level.
“She’s maybe the most unique woman I’ve ever met on the planet.”
Another longtime friend, Rosanna Arquette spoke to her personal experience with Fonda.
“She’s giving and honest.”
Lisa Kudrow recently joined the Fonda-led Netflix series Grace and Frankie. Even as someone who is accustomed to stardom, she did not hide her delight at working with such an iconic figure.
“I think the best part was meeting Jane — really.”
The documentary is called ‘Five Acts’ because it organizes Fonda’s life into chapters. In her memoir, Fonda organized her own life into three acts of 30-years each. Now that she’s well into her third act, she wonders what’s next.
“I feel so good at 80, I guess there will be an epilogue or a coda.”
Jane Fonda in Five Acts is now on HBO.
