Talking With Earnie Hudson About His Latest Project 'The Family Business' | Celebrity Page

While the new Ghostbusters movie might be on the back burner, the new season of Ernie Hudson's TV show is something to look forward to.

Need something to hold you over untilthe new Ghostbusters movie returns to the big screen? Join Jaymes Vaughan as he breaks down what to expect on the new season of Ernie Hudson's BET+ show The Family Business and the fate of the new Ghostbusters movie.

What To Expect On The Next Season of 'The Family Business'

There is a new definition of the phrase "Family Business", especially when Ernie Hudson and the cast are in town!

Based on the books by Carl Weber, the show follows the Duncans, a family who owns and operates a long-standing car dealership in New York. The second season will consist of a 12-episode series, which premiered on July 2nd. And the cast shared a toast to the excitement!

Hudson (L.C. Duncan) spilled to Vaughan about his admiration for the show:

"What I love and the reason I wanted to do this show - it's about family, but more importantly it's about real people working with layers. It's about life, and that's what I really really - I love being able to bring because I haven't seen this family, these people in this situation."

Broadway alum Valarie Pettiford (Fosse, The Wiz) who plays Chippy Duncan in the show, expressed her excitement about the new season to Vaughan, saying:

"Get ready for the ride of your lives, guys. Oh my god - you thought season one was great, whew - season two is off the chain and I'm so proud. I'm just so proud of this entire team."

The Fate Of Ghostbusters

Fans of Hudson and the Ghostbusters movie series are impatiently waiting for the new Ghostbusters movie to hit the big screen, but it has sadly been delayed until 2021.

When there's something strange in the neighborhood, Josh Gad called the only folks who could possibly help...the Ghostbusters. Gad got the cast together on his Reunited Apart series, where they shared memories from the beloved movie.

Hudson also spilled to Vaughan what it was like being reunited with his castmates:

"These are the people that I shared that experience with and it just makes it so incredibly special - it's like we went through something together."

Keep an eye out for the Ghostbusters: Afterlife movie, premiering March, 2021!
