For the first time ever, iHeartMedia will team up with Proctor & Gamble to produce "Can't Cancel Pride," a benefit to raise funds for struggling LGBTQ+ communities that have been hit hard by Covid-19. The one-hour special will be comprised of celebrity performances and heartfelt messages to viewers in honor of pride month.
Celebrities Come Together for "Can't Cancel Pride"
The virtual event will offer plenty of exciting performances- from Billy Porter and Sia to Katy Perry, Adam Lambert, and many more. Radio personality Elvis Duran and actress Laverne Cox are set to host the virtual event. Rob Smith, founder of The Phluid Project and member of the advisory committee for "Can't Cancel Pride," shared why the event is so important.
"This is a unique opportunity to focus on the heart and soul of the community and the movement we serve across the country, allowing access for everyone. Celebrating virtually affords us the opportunity to touch people in communities across the country and ensure that we are broadly able to showcase the incredible diversity and intersectionality of the LGBTQ+ community."
