Director Ridley Scott of Alien and Blade Runner fame is back with a new intense, drama fueled film ripe with betrayal and revenge.
House of Gucciis based on a true story and the book The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed by Sara Gay Forden. It follows the story of the tumultuous relationship and subsequent murder of Maurizio Gucci, businessman and head of the iconic luxury fashion house Gucci, by his ex-wife, socialite Patrizia Reggiani, when she arranged to have him assassinated, resulting in her eventual conviction.
The film stars Lady Gaga as Patrizia, Adam Driver as Maurizio, and Salma Hayek as Pina Auriemma, a friend of Patrizia's. Other roles include Jared Leto as Paolo Gucci, Maurizio's cousin and former Design Chief of Gucci, Al Pacino as Aldo Gucci, Maurizio's uncle and former chairman of the brand, and Jeremy Irons as Rodolfo Gucci, Maurizio's father.
The stunning posters of the actors were recently released. While they all look made for their parts, Leto looks particularly unrecognizable, as he is aged substantially for his role.
House of Gucci is being produced by MGM Studios and will be released November 24th, 2021.
