Hilary Duff and her husband Matthew Koma received some criticism last month when a video was posted with their 3-year-old daughter riding in the backseat of a car without a car seat. She has finally responded to the critics.
Duff did an interview with romper, where she addressed the situation. She said,
"There was this huge story that came out because my friend Molly [Bernard] was in the backseat of our car with Banks without her car seat. It's not like I'm driving on the 405 with my kids in the backseat without a car seat. You have no context. You don't know where I am."
Duff added:
"You're telling me you've never put your kids in the backseat to drive a bock before with an adult back there?" according to ENews
Duff's co-star Bernard was the one who posted the video of her in the backseat with Banks. She has now disabled the comments on the post.
Koma actually responded to some of the critics in the comments who urged them to research car seat safety laws.
He sarcastically replied:
"You are truly a hero for speaking up."
