Harry Styles got his start in the well-known boy band One Direction and has since become a a versatile singer-songwriter who has taken the world by storm with two solo albums and a charming composure. In honor of his 27th birthday today, we're taking a look back at some of his most iconic moments.
Styles' Start on One Direction
As many know, Styles began his singing career on The X Factor along with Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson, forming the boy group One Direction. Together, the group has won numerous Billboards and recognition until their break up in August 2015.
Since then, each of the group's members have gone on to do various solo projects with Styles making his acting debut and receiving Grammy nominations for his album Fine Line (2019), performance on "Watermelon Sugar" (2019), and music video for "Adore You" (2019).
Acting Debut
Styles made his acting debut on Christoper Nolan's Oscar award winning film Dunkirk (2017).
In an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Styles discusses the film.
"It's kind of the opposite to a traditional kind of movie set around war. It's not us being the heroes and kind of going and saving the day. It's just about community heroism and how the small acts from civilians and the normal people who are at home coming to save us, kind of together, makes this massive thing and I think it's very much about the spirit of people and how when people come together, you can do incredible things."

Late Night King
Speaking of late night appearances, Styles has made quite the commotion in the television industry.
In 2017 and 2019, Styles guest hosted The Late Late Show with James Corden. Styles has worked close with Corden from his One Direction days to now, starring in carpool karaokes and crosswalk concerts.

Harry Takes on SNL
In November 2019, Styles hosted and performed on SNL. Although this was Styles' first time hosting the show, the singer had previously performed as a solo artist in 2017 and with One Direction in 2012, 2013, and 2014.
Iconic Music Videos
On top of his numerous film and television appearances, Styles is known for his vibrant and lively music videos. Styles has won awards for his music videos for "Sign of the Times" (2017) and the music video of "Adore You" (2019) earned Styles a 2021 Grammy nomination.

Collabs of a Lifetime
In December 2019, Styles performed a cover of Lizzo's "Juice" (2019) for BBC Radio, racking in 37 million views. Styles and Lizzo gave the world what they plead for and performed a duet of the song for Sirius XM in January 2020.
Styles has also duetted live with Stevie Nicks, Kacey Musgraves, and more.
The 2019 Met Gala
Styles attended Vogue's 2019 Met Gala wearing a sheer Gucci outfit designed by Alessandro Michele. Styles was also the co-chair of the world renowned event that year.

Last, but certainly not least, Styles broke records with his December 2020 Vogue cover. Styles is known for fighting stereotypes and tearing down barriers, which he did in this Vogue cover, being the first solo male on the magazine's cover in history.
On top of that, Styles wore a dress on the cover and various other outfits within the magazine's folds, inspiring his audience to be comfortable with themselves and use fashion as an escape.
